North Dakota Autism Center, Inc. would like to invite you to the 9th annual AuSome Evening held on Friday, April 27th 2018, beginning at 5:30p. The AuSome Evening is a business formal attire event that is designed to motivate, rejuvenate, and inspire our guests! We are pleased to announce that our speaker will be Mr. Chris Ulmer, a former special education teacher, the current advocator and founder of Special Books by Special Kids. Special Books by Special Kids is a 501(c)3 organization that seeks to normalize the diversity of the human condition under the pillars of honesty, respect, mindfulness, positivity and collaboration. The movement supports and celebrates all members of the neurodiverse community regardless of diagnosis, age, race religion, income, sexual orientation, gender or gender expressions.

The North Dakota Autism Center, Inc. is 501(c)3 non-profit organization and has provided autism services to the community since November 2008. NDAC is the only center based facility in ND and the surrounding area that focuses on children with autism and other developmental disabilities. Our Day Program is designed specifically to help children with autism and other developmental disabilities work on social skills, communication skills, life skills and teaches replacement skills to help reduce unwanted behaviors. The Day Program uses behavior techniques and positive reinforcement to achieve these goals. The program does not receive state or federal funding thus we rely heavily on private donations, grants and fundraising events such as the AuSome Evening.
